Petty People-The People's Petty Tribute Band

Petty People is made up of NYC's finest, full-time musicians who also happen to be Tom Petty fans themselves.  

In today's age of samples, loops and autotune, the music of Tom Petty is more relevant than ever and is loved by people of all ages.  His timeless brand of Americana Roots Rock transcends time and demographic, with hooks and lyrics that touch the hearts of everyone.  

Petty People is dedicated to performing Tom Petty's music with the love and respect it deserves, while sharing it with Tom Petty fans, and introducing it to future Tom Petty fans everywhere.

Petty People's show features original video projections, eye-popping images, nostalgic photos, costumes, behind the scenes stories, crowd participation and, of course, the awesome music of Tom Petty!

The Team

Evan Kremin

Evan Kremin is a singer, songwriter and muti-instrumentalist, and has released several albums and countless singles, and has placed several songs in TV and film.  Evan has had the privilege of performing with such notables as Deborah Gibson, Vince Martel (Vanilla Fudge), Darlene Love, Gordon Gaines, Mo Holmes, Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Jonatha Brooke, Lisa Loeb, Tall Stories, Steve Augeri (Journey, Tyketto), Bill Sims, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), Steve Holley (Paul McCartney), Joe Vitale (Eagles, Joe Walsh), Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty, Eric Clapton) and many others, locally, nationally and internationally.

Benny Landa

Benny Landa has carved out his place as a staple NYC musician and is one of the most in-demand guitarists in the field.  Benny has played, toured and/or recorded with greats such as Carole King, Mark Knopfler, Robert Gordon, Chris Barron (Spin Doctors), Joe Vitale,  Graham Nash, Mark Hudson, Jim Steinman, Howard Tate, Steve Holley, Anton Fig, John Regan, Rick Danko, Blondie Chaplin and many more.

Mike DiMeo

Mike DiMeo is a gifted multi-keyboard expert and singer who has worked with countless musicians and outfits.  Mike spent a good part of the 90’s as lead singer with the band Riot. Following that, his years as the organist for Tommy James and The Shondells opened the door to his long list of collaborations including performances with Deep Purple, Johnny Winter, and Bonnie Tyler.  Mike also tours with the supergroup, “The Hitmen”.

Brian Delaney

Brian Delaney, originally from St. Louis, MO, has been a fixture in the New York City music scene since 1994. Brian has played with artists of all styles and flavors, playing with everyone from the New York Dolls, Melissa Etheridge, David Bowie's Lazarus, Lucy Woodward, Delta Goodrem, David Johansen and the Harry Smiths, Earl Slick, Buster Poindexter, Peter Cincotti, Patti Austin, Blood, Sweat & Tears and many, many others.

Mike Visceglia

Mike Visceglia got his professional start touring with Welsh rocker John Cale. Since then he has performed and/or recorded with Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, Bette Midler, Phoebe Snow, Avril Lavigne, and many others, as well as being the bassist for Suzanne Vega for more than 30 years- playing on her Grammy-nominated song Luka. 
Michael is also a writer, having written the book A View From The Side about the lives of musician ‘sidemen’, and written several articles for bass niche magazines. 
In addition, Mike was in the pit of the Tony Awarding Broadway Show "Kinky Boots", while also playing with Christopher Cross.

Lizzie Edwards

Lizzie Edwards is a singer, pianist, and songwriter whose music blends blues, rock and soul with the storytelling spirit of classic singer-songwriters. Raised in a musical family—her grandfather was an opera singer and her grandmother a harpsichordist—she developed an early love of both classical training and expressive performance. Lizzie studied classical piano and music theory for thirteen years at Mannes College of Music and later minored in music at Dartmouth College. She now fronts Lizzie and The Makers, writing all of the band’s original material while singing lead and playing keys. The band has been selected six times as an official showcasing artist at South by Southwest (SXSW), one of the world’s premier music festivals.

 

Tony Tino

Tony Tino resides in New York City, recording, writing and performing around the world as well as teaching bass, guitar and piano.  Tony Tino has performed, recorded/toured with Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Gavin DeGraw, Nelly McKay, Ronnie Spector, Robert Randolph, Ramin Krimloo, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, LaBamba & Mark Pender from The Conan O’Brien Show, Lee Roy Parnell, John Scofield, Dave Chappell, Clay Aiken, De La Soul, Richie Cannata, Liberty DeVito, Doug E. Fresh, G.E. Smith, Branford Marsalis, and Mark Rivera. Broadway shows include Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp’s “Movin’ Out”, Laura Nyro’s “Eli’s Coming”, The GoGo’s “Head Over Heels”, and the London production of Jason Robert Brown’s “A Song For The New World”.

Charly Roth

Charly Roth is a multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, and keys), producer, arranger, and music director from New York’s Lower East Side. Starting in the record biz/session scene, Charly landed countless sessions with some of the biggest names in NYC, as well as stints with Ozzy Osbourne, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, Suzanne Vega’s debut album, a long run as original member/co-producer of ’90s act Blessid Union of Souls, and most recently as Garland Jeffreys’ keys man.  Charly was also the musical director for comedian/actor Denis Leary.

Steve Ferrone - By Special Arrangement

Steve Ferrone is known as the drummer of the rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers from 1994 to 2017, and as part of the classic lineup of the Average White Band in the 1970s. Ferrone has recorded and performed with Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Duran Duran, Stevie Nicks, Laura Pausini, Christine McVie, Rick James, Slash, Chaka Khan, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, Aerosmith, Al Jarreau, Mick Jagger, Johnny Cash, Todd Rundgren and Pat Metheny. Ferrone also hosts "The New Guy" radio show on Sirius XM's Tom Petty Radio. Steve has a large fan base of his own, and by special arrangement (schedule permitting) will play the show with Petty People, tell heartwarming, "behind the music" stories about his time with Tom Petty, and offer a post-show, VIP meet and greet option.

Our keyboardist is self contained, however if your venue offers the use of a Hammond organ, he is quite an adept B3 player, and it does lend an extra dimension to the performance. 

Petty People’s show includes video (some with audio).  Video cues will be included in the set list which we will provide to your house engineer.
